As my diploma work in Turku Arts Academy I directed a solo performance based on Federico Fellini’s film La Strada.
It had it’s premiere in Turku in fall 2009, and was performed after that in Charleville-Mezieres, France and in Tallinn Treff Theatre Festival.
The show had a re-premiere as Gelsomiina Tsirkus in Tallinn Puppet Theatre in 2015.

Clown Gelsomina has been left alone by the strong man Zampano. All that is left is Zampano’s coat, suitcase full of scrap, painful memories and luckily also some crazy imagination. This puppet theatre circus has been inspired by Federico Fellini’s film La Strada and Alexander Calder’s circus-performance.
Suitable for everone over 8 years.
